The state flag and the state seal are similar.Passed in 1923, Washington state law describes the flag as having dark green bunting with a seal in the middle.It is the only state flag to have green on it.It is also the only state flag to have a president on it.The population has more than 6,000,000 people.The state bird is a Willow Goldfinch.Washington became the 42nd state to join the Union on November 11,1889.Their capital is Olympia.
