 We choose Quebec as our province.Quebec is known for its fish, wood and paper, oil, and natural gas.

 Quebec is located in eastern Canada, the capital city is Quebec city.It is a French speaking province,the

  flower is the blue flag, the tree is the yellow birch, the bird is the snowy owl, and the moto is

  "JE ME SOUVIENS" which is French for "I Remember."

        The population is 7,598,100. Other languages spoken are English, Italian, Spanish, and

        Greek, and most cities and towns are located near the St.Lawrence River.

                                                                   The History

        The first people were the Cree, Innu, Attikamek, Algonguin, Abenaki, Malecite, Micmac,

        and Inuit.Also the Iroquois lived in villages along the St.Lawrence River.Quebec City

        was captured by the British in 1759.Loyaltists arrived from the U.S. in 1781 and settled

        farther up the river.It became a part of the Dominion of Canada in 1867.
